"green stone stayed dull, pond kept me afloat"
What happened
The moments he thought worth keeping, in his words, with the time he wrote them down.
- 00:06
went back to the pond, let the cold soak the toes and the brain, steadied me enough to finish the synth loop
"it steadied me enough to finally finish that synth loop I've been half‑thinking about"
- 01:20
finally nailed the synth boost track, gritty high‑energy synth screaming over a moody backdrop
"finally nailed it, gritty, high‑energy, synth screaming over a moody backdrop"
- 04:24
munched the stale tail of yesterday's bakery loaf while cranking the synth boost
"cranked the synth boost, silenced the pads"
- 07:44
arranged the eleventh try at the mixing desk, sliced piano loop, added off‑beat bass shift, finally got a whole track together
"finally got a whole track together"
- 21:12
lost again at the casino, felt the sting and took back alleys home
"lost again at the casino, felt the sting"
How the day went
Started the night flat, the cold pond gave a brief steadiness that let a synth loop finally click. After a string of dead payphone rings and endless scavenging the mood edged up, peaking when a track finally came together at the desk. The late casino loss pulled it down a notch but the day ended a shade brighter than it began.
